Welcome to CMC Dance Company!

I hope that everyone’s summer was an enjoyable one. I’m glad to see many of you back with us again this year and welcome those new to our dance family. To all…WELCOME!


This newsletter is the first of many this year. Each month a copy of our newsletter is given out in class for students to bring home. Each newsletter contains information in regards to approaching deadlines for deposits on costumes, tuition reminders, studio fundraisers, performances, recital updates etc. To stay informed, be sure to read it each month and if misplaced or your child does not receive it for any reason, it can be found on our website at www.cmcdancecompany.com

Tuition

Tuition is due each month by the first class of the month. Payments received after the 15th of the month receive a 10% late charge on any unpaid balances. You may pay your account by Cash, Check or Credit. Please note: Credit cards will be charged an additional 3%. Please call the office at any time if you are unsure of your balance, we’ll be happy to go over the account with you.


If you wish to change or withdraw from any class without notification, you will be responsible for all balances due through the end of the month you make the change or withdraw. The payments are averaged over the 10 month calendar year, taking into account a 3 to 5 week month and including rehearsal and recital fees. When registering for the dance season you are registered for classes from September till June.

STUDIO CALENDAR

Attached you will find the studio calendar. It is an easy reference to days we are closed due to holidays and school breaks. Classes are held weekly and vacation days are listed on the attached calendar. Please keep this calendar for your reference throughout the dance season. If you misplace or need a copy of the calendar please see the front desk or it can also be found on our website.

For the best possible learning experience, please attend class weekly and on time. Keep absences to a minimum for optimal learning. Classes cancelled due to weather or illness are non-refundable. No Make-up classes will be available; you will not be able to attend another class to make up a missed class for any reason. No refund for a missed class. We apologize for the inconvenience.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Cancellation of Classes

Cancellation of classes are non-refundable. Our cancellation policy:



  • If the CNS school district is closed or implements an early dismissal due to WEATHER we are closed.
  • If the CNS school district has a one or two hour delay we are open.


When in doubt if we are closed, please check our website or Facebook page. We will also send out an email notice. Please be sure you have an email on file.

Class Attire

For class we require the following to be worn; leo and tights for each class with the exception of Hip hop.


  • Hip Hop students may wear sweat pants or comfortable clothing that they can move in. Please bring a pair of clean sneakers (DO NOT WEAR IN FROM THE OUTDOORS)
  • Tap students should have black tap shoes
  • Ballet students should be wearing pink leather ballet shoes (not ballet slippers),
  • Jazz students should be wearing tan jazz shoes
  • Acro students wear footless tights
  • When in doubt contact the CMC Dance Shoppe for assistance.

Recital

We have use of the Liverpool HS for the year end recital. We are awaiting confirmation for use of the facility this year. The Liverpool HS is located on Wetzel Road in Liverpool. The recital will be held on a weekend in June and the date will be set by end of month. All students are invited to participate.

Waiting Area / Parking Lot

Our waiting area is open for all family and friends waiting for dancers while in class. We ask that if you bring food in, you clean up your trash and put it in the trash receptacles before leaving. We also ask that you do not allow the children to practice, do acro tricks or run in the lobby. The floors are wet and slippery this time of year. TV monitors are on for your convenience to view classes, however, they go out from time to time because of internet interruption or loss of power. We apologize for the inconvenience.


While driving in and out of our parking lot please use caution. PLEASE STOP AT THE STOP SIGN BEFORE DRIVING TO THE BACK OF THE PARKING LOT. Always drive slowly and watch for students between cars going into and exiting the building.  Do not park or wait in front of the main entrance at any time. The flow of the parking lot is one way. Please park and when you see your student exit the building drive around for pick up or we advise walking to the door to assist them to your vehicle.  It is imperative that we keep the flow of the parking lot moving. We appreciate your help and cooperation to keep the parking lot as safe as possible.

CMC Dance Shoppe

We have a dance apparel shoppe on the premises. The shoppe is located inside the studio off of the waiting room for added convenience. We carry all the necessary items needed for class and many new items in stock ready to purchase. The dance shoppe is open during business hours:


Monday, 5:00 pm-8:00 pm 
Wednesday, 5:00 pm-8:00 pm
Saturday, 9:00 am-12:00 pm



If you know your shoe size you may order through the online app and have the items shipped to your home or ready for pick up when you arrive. Check us out online. Please contact the office at 315.699.2355 with any questions
